Oracle Ace Director Eric Helmer is the  Vice President for Linium Infrastructure Services for their Oracle consulting practice.   He has extensive experience managing large complex corporate IT implementations.  In the last eight years, Eric has specialized on delivering successful corporate integrated Oracle EPM and Business Intelligence IT projects throughout the US, England, Ireland, India, Singapore, and Thailand.

Mr. Helmer has provided technical consulting services for many of the fortune 500 in every aspect of Oracle EPM implementations including global architecture/design, installation/configuration, backup/recovery, high availability, and customized IT educational services. He has been involved in most of Oracle’s largest EPM implementations in its history. 


Eric’s Masters degree in IT Management adds to his strong business background of corporate computing environments including business process analysis, ERP systems, Identity management, Data Warehousing, and complex IT project management.

Mr. Helmer is equally effective in a senior IT leadership role in the CIO’s office as well as an individual technical contributor and IT staff mentor. A frequent invited session speaker and expert panel member at Hyperion Solutions, Oracle Open World, ODTUG Kaleidoscope, Collaborate, EPM Connection Point,  conferences, as well as local user group meetings across the nation.   His breath of business education and technical skillets makes Eric one of the most sought after corporate trusted advisors today.  Mr. Helmer:

Skills include large complex architecture blueprint design, technical assessment workshops, high availability/clustering, SSL and data encryption, disaster recovery, identity management, performance/stability tuning, transformation road mapping, and Influential technical presentations/documentation.


Eric also specializes in customized IT training. He has trained world class IT support groups to be completely autonomous by offering a suite of knowledge transfer classes on Oracle design, installation, methodology, automation, backup/recovery, high availability, and advanced troubleshooting.


The Oracle Corporation has awarded Eric the title of Oracle ACE Director in 2009 and has been spotlighted in Oracle Magazine.  He also is a current board member and domain lead on the Oracle Application Users Group (OAUG), Hyperion Special Interest Group, and is helping lead efforts in the new regional OAUG Connection Point® conferences launching in February 2010.
